چکیده
Abstract Effectively promoting the stability and quality of ecosystem services involves successful management domesticated species control introduced species. In pollinator literature, interest concern regarding health dramatically increased in recent years. Concurrently, use loaded terms when discussing non-native may have increased. As a result, ecology has inherited both confusion associated with invasion biology’s lack standardized terminology to describe native, managed, or as well very strong positive negative connotations. The explosion research on native bees alternative pollinators, coupled language, led perceived divide between bee managed researchers. comparison, bird literature discusses study (poultry) non-managed (all other birds) without an apparent conflict regard connotations sentiment. Here, we analyze word usage 3614 ecological evolutionary biology papers published 1990 2019. Using time series analyses, demonstrate how specific descriptor (such wild, introduced, exotic) changed over time. We then conducted co-citation network analyses determine whether that share references similar predicted language bias towards found association term invasive bumble observed significant increases more ambiguous species, such wild . detected sentiment area pathogen spillover bees, which corroborates subjectivity carries. recommend using acknowledge role human activities biological invasions. Avoiding will advance our understanding promote effective productive communication across scientists, general public, policy makers stake holders society.

Urbanization Increases Pathogen Pressure on Feral and Managed Honey Bees
Given the role of infectious disease in global pollinator decline, there is a need to understand factors that shape pathogen susceptibility and transmission in bees. Here we ask how urbanization affects the immune response and pathogen load of feral and managed colonies of honey bees (Apis mellifera Linnaeus), the predominant economically important pollinator worldwide. Using quantitative real-...
متن کاملGrowing an industry: how managed is TennCare's managed care?
In 1994 Tennessee moved virtually its entire Medicaid population and new eligibles into fully capitated managed care (TennCare). We analyze Tennessee's strategy, given limited existing managed care; and health plans' development of managed care infrastructure. We find signs of progress and developing infrastructure, but these are threatened by concerns over TennCare's financial viability and th...

Most patients with asthma can be easily treated. Some have difficult asthma; in some because the diagnosis is erroneous, in others because of comorbidity or noncompliance. A European Respiratory Society Task Force has called for an integrated approach for these patients, and positive results have been reported using protocols. In the UK, there is no overall understanding of the size of this pro...
متن کاملHow should chylothorax be managed?
The management and complications of chylothorax occurring beyond the neonatal period were reviewed retrospectively. Records from 15 patients treated between 1976 and 1986 were analysed; a combination of thoracocentesis, chest drain insertion, and dietary modification were successful in abolishing chyle leakage in 10 cases. One child died from complications of cardiac surgery rather than from th...
متن کاملHow Should Ectopic Ovaries Managed?
Background: Ectopic ovaries are an uncommon congenital anomaly. Supernumerary ovaries are sometimes confused with accessory ovaries, mesenteric cysts, and lymph nodes. Case presentation: We experienced two cases of ectopic ovaries. A 26-year-old woman had a supernumerary ovary of 3x2.5x2 cm mass located on the Cul-de-sac between the rectum and the uterus. A 23-year-old woman had an accessory ov...
